Best Western Historic District

Mumford Company, a full-service hotel advisory firm since 1978, was pleased to represent 351 York St., LLC in the sale of the Best Western Historic District in Williamsburg Virginia. The purchaser, Swaminarayan, LLC, is a regional hotel owner and operator with several properties in central Virginia and upstate New York. After mainly cosmetic renovations, the 140 unit property will remain a Best Western. Ed James and Steve Kirby, both Mumford Company Managing Principals, along with Carter Willcox, Associate in Mumford Company's Newport News, Virginia headquarters represented the Seller in the transaction.

Ed James states, “using an expedited marketing strategy and the automatic transfer eligibility from Best Western, Mumford Company was able to broadly market the property, negotiate the contract for the winning bidder, and close this transaction in less than 100 days from listing execution. It was truly a team effort creating a “win-win” for Buyer and Seller.”
