Mumford Company, a full-service hotel advisory firm since 1978, was pleased to represent the Seller of the 71-unit Holiday Inn Express Fairmont, West Virginia that closed on September 25, 2020. David  Mumford, Senior Principal in Mumford Company’s Newport News office, along with Justin Pinkard, Managing Principal in the firm’s Washington DC office, and Andrew Smith, Vice President also in the firm’s Washington DC  office represented Double J Development, LLC in the transaction. Pinkard said, “This deal was placed Under Contract pre-COVID-19 and faced multiple challenges. Perseverance by buyer, seller, and lender assisted in getting this transaction closed.” This was the second closing by Mumford in the last week. Recent sales include Super 8 by Wyndham Gulfport, Mississippi, Baymont Inn & Suites, Jesup, Georgia and the Super 8 in South Boston, Virginia.
